A member of both the Southern League and Birmingham Barons Hall of Fame as well as a two-time winner of the Southern League Broadcaster of the Year, I grew up in suburban New York City and graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. 

Previous stops include Bakersfield, CA, Prince William County, VA, and Huntsville, AL before arriving in Birmingham prior to the 1992 season. Two years later, Michael Jordan helped thrust the Barons into the National scene as he completed his only year as a Minor Leaguer. I was behind the mic for his entire season which led to cameo appearances on ESPNs 30 for 30 and  "The Last Dance". 

I hold the distinct honor as the longest-tenured radio broadcaster in the 130-year history of the Birmingham Barons. 

I made my Major League Baseball debut on July 24, 2022 calling the Chicago White Sox game versus the Cleveland Guardians.  

I am the lead announcer for UAB Basketball on ESPN+ for both the Men and Women. For the 2025 season, I called over 50 college baseball games for the University of Alabama and UAB. Previously, I had a ten-year period where I called both football and basketball for Samford University.
